Walking on the moon When I went to Death Valley mum told us a story about two adults in their twenties and they had just got married and they were here on their honeymoon and they went for a walk and the girl was feeling a bit sick so she gave him her water and went to the rangers hut. After an hour and the man still had not come, they sent out a spy plane and he was dead.

Dad and me went for a time flies sun burnt walk to the salt panels. We thought that it took ten minutes but mum said that we were an hour. The salt was very salty and at Badwater it was even saltier. Badwater is the hottest plays on earth. When we got to The Devils Golf Course we found a dip filled with chunks of salt in it that looked like golf balls so we went around putting them in the holes.

We went to the visitors centre and saw a film about Death Valley and we learnt about the people who used to live in Death Valley and how it got it’s name.

At Badwater we were 200 feet below sea level. I was very tired and hot and it was hard to walk. It was really cool to be in Death Valley and I was really excited.
